Laundry

I became quite fascinated by the sight of laundry hanging from seemingly everywhere. Clothes were pinned to hangers outside windows, strung from wires and bamboo poles between buildings, even draped onto ropes tied between sidewalk lampposts. Many of the newer apartment buildings had built in metal poles attached to the window sills just for laundry. I guess most people here do not own a clothes dryer. It is something I quite take for granted in my own house.
