Awaiting customers

There are a surprisingly large number of hair salons and barber shops around the city.  Many of the workers are young fellows with punk styled hairdos and a single long earring dangling from one ear.  While awaiting customers they pass the time by endlessly blow drying their hair into different dos alternating with standing outside the doorway watching pedestrians go by.
